LAS VEGAS , NV , MAY 21st, 2007: Hall of Fame Football player & renowned TV personality Michael Irvin and The Tetra Companies —a leading real estate development and management company in the Southeast & Mid-Atlantic—today announced they have joined forces to form TMI Group.
This new venture will serve as a private equity fund to finance and develop Tetra’s mixed-use real estate developments throughout the Southeastern United States including retail, multifamily, office and industrial properties. The goal of the TMI Group is to identify and exploit diversified, value-oriented mixed-use opportunities. TMI Group’s initial goal is to raise $45 Million in equity for development build outs in excess of $180 million.
In making today’s announcement, Michael McNally, principal, co-founder and head of finance for The Tetra Companies, said, “The most effective factor to success in real estate is leadership—a quality Michael Irvin has in abundance. As he has exemplified throughout his career, both on and off the field, Mr. Irvin is absolutely driven to excel in everything he does. We are pleased and excited to be on the same team.”
Also commenting on today’s announcement was Michael Irvin, who said, “To be successful in any team effort, you have to be able to look at the people around you and know there is commitment to doing things the right way and winning. In marking today’s event, Michael Irvin will be at Tetra’s booth (S471 V Street) at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Spring Convention at 4 pm for a “meet & greet” with conference attendees.
